Upright Bike:
The user stands over the pedals while riding, often with added arm support. This bike is good for increasing heart rate and improving cardio fitness by going faster as you pedal harder. Upright bikes are good for intensity exercise. And not applicable for older users.
Spin Bike:
The user sits on a saddle in front of two or three spinning wheels and has to twist the handlebars back and forth to keep it peddling forward. What makes this different from the recumbent bike? There are no comfortable seats on Spin-type exercise bikes, which makes it uncomfortable for the elderly.
Recumbent Bike:
As I mentioned before, the recumbent bike is a type of exercise bike with the user sitting in a reclined chair with their back or spine supported by its curved, padded seat. What makes recumbent bikes different from upright and spin-type bikes? Recumbent bikes are good for low-impact cardio exercises like spinning since they’re easier on your joints. They also reduce stress on your neck and spine and keep proper alignment of these areas when riding for long periods.
